The Graphic Designer/Production Artist creates and revises marketing related communication solutions, business forms and marketing materials using advanced typesetting skills to comply with current needs and to support Senior Graphic Designers' overflow.

Key responsibilities

Revise existing materials: (70%)

* Make changes to existing forms incorporating product information changes.
* Create new business forms and marketing materials as needed.
* Create proofs and print dummies, prepare files for the print vendor. Review and approve vendor proofs.
* Consult with vendors about file types and sizes, font issues, etc.
* Meet with internal clients and co-workers to understand project specifications.
* Create or revise multimedia jobs, including PowerPoint presentations and websites.

Create marketing communications: (30%)

* Translate marketing communications objectives into visual concepts, producing multiple concepts that potentially deliver to the intended results, but approach the problem in distinctly different ways.
* Work with Marketing Communication Managers to effectively coordinate copy and graphic design in order to produce compelling marketing materials.
* Determine most effective format for all planned media in communications strategy, working directly with print buyers, production staff, and outside vendors to ensure efficiency of production of final output.
* Work with Marketing Communication Managers and Product Management personnel to establish and promote a distinct look and feel for each legal entity's materials (FIC, JALIC, FBIC).

Qualifications

Required skills/experience

* Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
* Three plus years of design or production experience with expertise in Mac software including: Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign, PowerPoint, etc.
* In-depth knowledge of print process, font management, digital asset management, color management, press checking, web design.
* Requires strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral, written, and presentation skills to effectively communicate graphic design matters to all levels within the company and interested parties outside the company.
* Requires ability to process complex time sensitive data and information from multiple sources and make decisions based on this data.
* Requires ability to think creatively as well as analytical and problem solving ability.
* Requires thorough knowledge of brand identity principles.

Desired skills/experience

* Proficiency in both Mac and PC.
* Ability to design using Dreamweaver or any other web design tool.
