Job Description

* Consistently drive sales and maintain an environment where customers enjoy a rich shopping experience
* Consistently provide excellent customer service by answering customer questions, locating product and recommending additional items and services to customers
* Answer in-coming phone calls
* Properly process group savings and services orders and maintain accurate paperwork
* Participate in store events, which may include set up/ take down, and hosting responsibilities
* Maintain presentation within assigned areas of the store; this includes, but is not limited to, merchandising, restocking, pulling stock and setting up displays
* Perform housekeeping and cleaning in the store
* Perform cashier duties as assigned
* Comply with company business standards, policies and procedures
* Participate in other tasks as necessary to support the team

Requirements

* Knowledge, passion and/or affinity for books, music or movies
* Commitment to superior customer service and excellent customer service skills
* At least 1 year of previous retail experience, preferred
* Demonstrated verbal communication skills
* High level of stamina and ability to stand for extended lengths of time
* Energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
* Reading skills and the ability to work with computers
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Appreciation and respect for the diversity of all individuals in the workplace
* Ability to work under pressure and availability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
